Painkiller is a 2005 Lagoon 410 seen here anchored in Archipelago De Las Perlas. Ken Johnson & Julie Miller departed Mystic, CT on November 3, 2019 with a plan to spend a few years circumnavigating. The first portion of the the trip included stops in Bermuda, the Caribbean Islands for the winter of 2019/2020, Colombia, transiting the Panama Canal in late February 2020 and then crossing the Pacific Ocean. After leaving Panama for the Marquesses the world essentially shut down due to covid and we were prohibited from continuing westward once we arrived in French Polynesia. When we returned to the US for a short visit to see family French Polynesia closed for a second time and we could not get back to Painkiller. In February 2022 Ken flew back to Tahiti and Jules sailed back to the Marquesas from Mexico. They met in Nuku Hiva, Marquesas with a plan to reverse course and return to Mystic, but then they turned right out of Taiohae Bay and headed west instead, and the circumnavigation continued..
